Joan brings more than 18 years of experience serving single‑family offices and philanthropic organizations to her role as Manager. She is passionate about keeping the “family” central to Family Office work, and—drawing on her certification as a 21/64 Advisor—facilitates generative, values‑aligned conversations across multiple generations.
Previously, Joan served as foundation director for a multi‑generational funder network of 200+ HNW/UHNW individuals. There, she guided members through retreats, collective grantmaking, and education, while building governance, financial systems, and policies, transforming operations following a transition from a long‑time service provider.
Before that, she spent 11 years within a single‑family office, working across all entities—including roles as Chief Administrator of the Family Office, Executive Director of the Family Foundation, and General Manager of the family’s operating farm. Across these environments, Joan designed systems, processes, and events that help organizations and individuals flourish, acting as a trusted partner who brings clarity and control to complex lives.
